3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing Expo Scottish Event Campus, GlasgowREGISTERAboutThe 3D Printing & Composites Expo will be held at the SEC Glasgow from the 23rd – 24th of October 2024. It will showcase the latest technological developments in a field that has been rapidly evolving since the 1980s, but which is poised to revolutionise manufacturing.3D Printing involves a manufacturing method in which layers of materials are deposited to produce a three-dimensional product. 3D Printing allows physical objects to produced from digital data containing three-dimensional information. These data can be generated in many ways, including by computer-aided designing (CAD), computer-aided manufacture (CAM) and 3D scanners.3D printing offers a number of advantages, including the ability to quickly transform ideas into 3D prototypes or models. It allows for rapid design changes and allows manufacturers to produce different products in small batches. Savings on raw materials, an improved inventory, and reduced storage are also benefits. The 3D Printers can use composite materials with major improvements in properties like strength, stiffness and durability.3D Printing has expanded its applications and is now faster, flexible and more efficient. In the Netherlands, for example, 3D-printed homes were produced in Eindhoven, and plant-based proteins have been used to create alternative meat products using 3D printing. The 3D Printing & Composites Expo, part of the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition at the SEC Glasgow, will give visitors practical advice on how they can use this technology to improve the performance of their business.SPEAKERS CONFIRMEDSPONSORSASSOCIATIONS & MEDIA PARTNERSContact us.
