The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak is hosting the 5th Edition of the International Energy Week, which will take place from 27-29 may 2025 at Borneo Convention Centre in Kuching. This will follow a 2 year hiatus due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. IEW 2023, which is the biggest energy event in Borneo, will be held “in person” and will incorporate a number of new initiatives in order to make it more impactful. The Sarawak Government has adopted the theme "Transitioning Towards a Net Zero Carbon Future", for the 5th International Energy Week at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching between 13-15 June 2023. International Energy Week, the largest international exhibition and summit in Malaysia for the energy sector, is a key meeting of senior government officials and top-level decision makers. It is held every two years. The event will also showcase the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy and investment opportunities.
